I was pretty obsessed with listening to KIIS FM’s Top 5 at 9 (Now the top 9 at 9) in junior high and apparently wrote down the top 5 songs every day for a month or so during the summer of 1997. So, the top 5 at 9 on August 4, 1997 were:

5. Barbie Girl by Aqua

4. Where’s the Love by Hanson (I had this song on repeat for a while)

3. I’ll be Missing You by Puff Daddy (before he became known as P. Diddy)

2. 2 Become 1 by Spice Girls (also really liked this song and still have it on my iPod! Shit, this song is old)

1. Men in Black by Will Smith

Sometimes meticulousness can be fun. Especially more than a decade later.
